OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide a vibrant forum for quality education, with a scientific temper, adaptive to the changing needs to time, to ensure all round development of the child and to expose him/her to a wide spectrum of co-curricular learning which is essential to make the child confident and ready to step out in today’s challenging world.

The school garners the best values from the Indian tradition and other world cultures. The children are exposed to the rich Indian cultural and spiritual heritage, creating a genuine respect for their country. At the same time exposure to the world heritage engenders in them  a spirit of openness, receptivity and tolerance as was done with the School Link and Teachers Exchange Programme with UK.

 

        

BUILDING BRIDGES

The school focuses on building character qualities in its students. A special communion towards this aim has been introduced called "Joining Hands" wherein the parents and the teachers collectively undertake activities to make the children aware and consciously  practice values like honesty, patience, compassion, discipline, responsibility etc.

The students on their part have conducted several social awareness drive across the city on issues like 'Pollution', 'Health and Hygiene', 'Save Water' etc.

The school helped in the relief and rehabilitation of earth quake victims of Gujarat, constructed a school at Bhuj and has now brought smiles on the faces of the mentally challenged by filling their surroundings with a "kaleidoscope of colours".

 
ACADEMICS

The educational system of the school is so designed as to provide ample opportunities for the child to achieve his/her potential and strive for excellence. A comfortable student teacher ratio creates a positive environment and a personalised interaction between them. We follow the system of continuous assessment, which relieves the students of the stress that the traditional examination system invariably causes. The school keeps an open mind by adopting educational patterns from abroad and other Indian schools.

 
SCIENCE LABORATORY
 

The school provides well equipped labs for physics, chemistry and biology, where the children perform experiments to substantiate their learning.

 

LIBRARY

The spirit of enquiry is generated in the students by encouraging them to use the well-stocked library. The library is equipped with books, CD's on every subject, multiple sets of encyclopedias and round the clock internet from which the children do extensive research for their projects.

FOOD COURT

School has made mandatory for the students to bring nutritious and healthy tiffins. They are provided with mineral drinking water in the school. The children are taught to prepare quick, healthy snacks for themselves. They are also taught table manners and use of cutlery as a part of their overall personality development.

 
 
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

We, at St. Kabir, strive to make our students academically superior, technologically confident, and master in the usage of computer, as we want them to be at the frontiers of this changing technocratic world.

The school has pioneered the development of a comprehensive and high tech teaching and learning software solution to meet learning and learners requirement, A multimedia education software of math’s and science has been installed with easy access providing the complete syllabus of std I-XII. Lots of other multimedia software for easy teaching and learning experiences are provided for student.

SCHOOL WEBSITE

The school has its own website www.stkabir.com. The site offers information about the school, the staff, various activity which are held in school, achievements of the students in various fields, results of regular examinations etcThe school also hosts ‘website Quiz’ to encourage the children to read useful information which is regularly update.The school website also helps to maintain contact with its students. During the challenging days following the earthquake, the student of St. Kabir were kept abreast with studies, through the site.

I SCHOOL

The school has installed ‘i school’ software which has helped the teacher to maintain and upgrade information about their student and e-planning of lesson ad all other activities. This software is specially useful as it has the facility of sending SMS in times of crisis or any other such situation.

The school is equipped with the latest state-of-art computer lab including facilities like multi-media and internet, which compliments the I.T. curriculum followed in the syllabus. To make the topics which are to be taught more interesting, the teachers use audio visual aids. The school also has a very modern audio-visual room fitted will OHP, with a seating capacity of over 100, where regular counseling and training sessions are held.

We at St. Kabir strive to make our students academically superior, technologically confident and trained in Safety and First Aid, as we want them to be at the frontiers of this changing technocratic world.

SPORTS

Believing that 'a healthy mind can reside only in a healthy body', St. Kabir School takes special care in garnering the spirit of sportsmanship among the students by training them in different sporting events such as Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Kho-kho and different kinds of Drills.

Regular sports competitions are held for different sports at Inter House level to inculcate team spirit and a spirit of competition. The school has its own Cricket and Basket Ball team and a proud sporting line up at the national level in different sports. The Kabir Ground was inaugurated by India’s Cricket icon Mr. Kapil Dev who brought the World Cup home. The presence of Mr. Kapil Dev itself motivated our student to keep in mind, the fact that ‘The sky s their limit’.

There is a team of efficiency, specialized coaches to train the students in various sports.

St. Kabir also conducts special training for student scouts. Our students have won the Interschool Marcher Trophy for three consecutive years.

                               THE PRE-PRIMARY SECTION

The school has a separate section for Tiny Tots who are welcomed into the warm cocoon of elementary school life by our gentle, motherly, affectionate, trained Teachers, who strive to make a home away from home for the toddlers.

Various activities are planned for them throughout the year, which includes Hindi and English Recitation, Dance, Puppet shows, Art and Craft work which make the children over come stage fears and become confident.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Various extra curricular activities are organised through out the year, which gives the students an opening  to explore and fine-tune his/her artistic talents.

Occasions like Navratri, Diwali, Janamashtami, Christmas, Pateti, Independence Day. Teacher's Day, Republic Day etc. are celebrated in school to help the children understand the significance of such festivals.

We have a system wherein all students are divided into four houses named after precious gems ie. RUBY, SAPPHIRE, EMERALD and TOPAZ. The house serves as a platform for fostering teamwork, leadership and a sense of healthy competition amongst the students. The children zealously compete to put their respective houses on top in various in-house activities.

Competitions such as Drawing and Painting, Craft work, Debates, Dramatics, Dancing and Quizzing help the children to realise their creative potential and instill confidence in them. In Quizzing our children have made their mark at the National Level, competing with the best in the country.

KABIR JYOTI

The School magazine serves as the forum for free and honest expression and exhibition of the thoughts and experiences of our young, budding writers. Interesting article of the students finds its place in the magazine which is compiled and edited by the children themselves.

The Annual day Celebration in the school is very grand affair with 100% student participation where parents of all the students are invited to enjoy their child’s performance.

CAMPS

Camps are regularly organised in order to encourage ‘Team Building’ spirit among the teens of the school, keeping in mind their critical age. The children are taught to pitch their tent and decorate it, cook their food and participate in various Camp activities. At the same time, they are also instructed to be eco-friendly and avoid ‘Camp-Fires’ in order to Save Fuel.

KABIR UTKARSH

The school focuses on building character of its students. The school helped in the relief and rehabilitation of earth quake victims of Gujarat, constructed a School at Bhuj and has brought smiles on the faces of differently abled children by filling their surroundings with a kaleidoscope of colours.

The school has adopted 1o villages in Kheda district as a part its responsibility towards the community. St. Kabir looks after their day-to-day requirement and maintenance along with the upgradation, by providing them with computers and also training the staff in their usage. The student of St. Kabir school and these village schools meet frequently and exchange views, help each other in various activities and learn from each other.
